The Gunna High Plateau and the canyons and desert in the area of Arada are one of the most beautiful parts of the Sinai Desert. Especially climbing up to and on top of the Gunna Plateau you realize that once the Sinai was under the sea as evidence of fossil corals and shells can be found in sometimes large amounts.
The scenery here changes all the time with sometimes astounding views, other times enclosed in narrow, winding, sandstone canyons. Then you’re walking through white sand dunes and you stop for a break at a outcropping with walls in the most amazing colours.
