AWAY AWAY

There are a number of possibilities for those wishing to spend one or more nights in the area of St. Katherine, depending on your budget and wishes. Any reservation can be made through us by mailing us at katherine@awayaway-sinai.net.

Hotels: There are four hotels in the village of St. Katherine and one 5 km outside of the village, with prices ranging from $50 to $ 80 per room, half-board

Camps: there are three camps in St. Catherine Village for the budget traveler or the traveler who enjoys the more primitive, camping out experience. Prices in the camps are around the 50 Le (Egyptian pounds) per person.
The Ecolodge is a few km to the north west of the village, on the outer rim of the high mountain area. One night in the Ecolodge costs 100 Le per person, halfboard, and is well worth it.

Monastery Guesthouses: The Monastery of St. Katherine has a large guesthouse (52 rooms) for those wanting to spend the night close to the monastery. The rooms all have their own bathroom, and the rooms have a heating system for the cold winter nights. A double-room is $ 60, half-board.
In Wadi Feran, on the road from St. Katherine to Cairo, the Monastery (or Nunnery) of Feran also has a small guesthouse. The price is around $42 per person.
